The Tennessee Titans traded suspended corner back Adam “Pacman” Jones to the Dallas Cowboys for a 4th round pick. But then for the trade to be final the Cowboys have to sign Adam Jones to a new contract. Today they did just that by signing Jones to a 4 year contract.
1st round pick #25: Limas Sweed WR- If, and that’s a big if. But if Limas Sweed is there at 25 he is the right pick for the Seahawks. Since Deion Branch wont be back until midway through the season and Bobby Engram is getting up there in age at 35 years old if would be smart to give Matt some young tall wide receivers. At 6-5 219 he runs a 4.5 in the 40 yard dash he will give Matt a huge target that can stretch the field.
2nd round pick #55: Trevor Laws DT-Defensive tackle is one of the biggest needs coming into the draft. The Seahawks are looking for a big run-stopping DT. In the second round Laws is the perfect fit. At 6-1 304 he runs a 5.1 in the 40 yard dash he will fit in great next to Rocky Bernard, Patrick Kerney and Darryl Tapp.

The last time I was talking about Theirry Henry coming to Seattle I had stated that they were in advanced negotiations with Henry but I didn’t know a dollar amount. Now I know a weekly dollar amount that Henry would make if he signed with Seattle FC and what the transfer fee would be. When Henry trasferred from Arsenal to Barcelona was around 32 million. Seattle has offered Henry 150,000 in European money a week. David Beckham is getting 1 million a week from the LA Galaxy. Henry is making 129,000 in European money right now. I think that will be enough to get him to play for Seattle FC. Also Seattle FC is trying to get Jimmy Hasselbaink who is a striker to play along side Henry.

Just like on opening day Felix Hernendez had a very good outing. He pitched 7 innings giving up 1 run on 5 hits and striking out 3. The M’s rallied in the bottom of the 8th to score 3 runs and gave the ball the JJ Putz who saved 40 games last season. Putz K’d the 1st batter but gave up a 2 run Home Run to Josh Hamilton and the M’s couldn’t respond losing 5-4. And once again the starting pitcher for the M’s didn’t get the win or the lose.

The mariners new Ace Erik Bedard who was apart of the 5 player deal with started his 1st game in a mariners uniform. Bedard went 5 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits and walking 4 and striking out 5 in 106 pitches. 2nd baseman Jose Lopez and 3ed baseman Adrian Beltre led the way for the M’s with 2 hits each. Then M’s had a total of 6 hits. The Mariners won 5-2 over the Texas Rangers.

As some of you may know the city of Seattle got the approval to have a new MLS team in Seattle. The team will mos likely be called Seattle FC (football club which is a very common name). Now the next part is filling the seats at Quest field which is were they’re going to play and that means they have to go out and sign players. They will sign a lot of Seattle Sounders players including there MVP Sebastien Le Toux. But the biggest player that they have been linked to is Arsenal’s striker and world famous soccer player Thierry Henry. Seattle and Henry are in “advanced negotiations” with Henry. He has said before that he wants to play in the US just like David Beckham who was singed by the L.A Galaxy. We all knew that Becks was goanna come over to the US but the reason he came early is because of extra $$ and that is the exact same thing that will most likely happen with Henry and Seattle FC. Besides Part owner would be able to pay the transfer fee with his “petty cash”. He would have a lot more talent around him than Beckham has in LA. Also the Sounders have won the lower league cup the last 4 out of 12 years.

If any of you watched the Seahawks the last two years they have had one of the worst run games in the NFL. Now some of that is because you can never replace a great LG like Steve Hutchinson and the Seahawks have yet to accomplish that taks but the did the next best thing by bringing in Mike Solari who has been with the Kansas City Chiefs the past 11 years. He will bring veteran knowlage to help the Seahawks offensive line.
